A scientific beginning in Apex.
SmaBio Labs was founded in Apex, North Carolina, beginning in a 2,000-square-foot space.
- 2024
An early-phase GMP base in Research Triangle Park.
The published company timeline records a move to a 10,000-square-foot RTP facility supporting early-phase GMP manufacturing.
- 2025
An FDA-registered analytical laboratory.
The company timeline identifies FDA registration of its analytical laboratory as a milestone in its development. Registration is not FDA approval of a drug product.
- 2026
Potential GMP facility expansion.
The existing website describes a potential expansion in Research Triangle Park. This is a forward-looking milestone and does not establish that a facility is qualified or that commercial manufacturing is operational.
